Overview
About Me
Born and raised in Tunisia, I never seriously considered the endless possibilities that exist outside my city. At 16, I witnessed the Tunisian revolution first hand, and it made me think more abstractly and more ambitiously about the kind of country we can build, and the role that I want to play in that. That's how I decided to go after an unlikely dream of studying in the U.S, and ended up with a full scholarship to attend the University of Rochester.
It was eye opening for me to see people coming from all walks of life, and sharing their culture, beliefs, traditions etc. I also connected deeply with my African heritage and wanted to change some wrong perceptions about the continent. With a computer science background, I now work for a Swiss company touring 21 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa to find the best tech companies, give them more opportunities to access funding and scale their businesses.
I discover more about this lovely continent every day, and I can't wait to share it with the world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I travel a lot, and don't get to spend too much time in each country. The best way to immediately immerse myself in a new environment and learn the most about it is through living with locals and hearing their stories and recommendations. Couchsurfing is the best way to do this!
