About Me

CURRENT MISSION

While in Honduras doing my dissertation research in public health, I´m hoping to spend my free time soaking in as much of this country and culture as possible, and would be most happy to meet some CS companions along the way!

ABOUT ME

I think you´ll find me friendly, easygoing and open-minded, happy to try new things, engage in discussions both silly and substantive, and pretty decent company in karaoke or on the dancefloor.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

am a bit of a CouchSurfing novice, but hoping to meet fellow travelers and join forces to explore/travel while I'm in Honduras

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Rushdie, Salinger, Murakami, Hemingway are among favorites.

Movies: Love them. My tastes are wide-ranging, but a few I have enjoyed watching or re-watching lately include The Taste of Tea, The Saddest Music in the World, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and The Incredibles.

Music: old jazz vocalists (Ella Fitzgerald and the like), Air, Django Reinhardt, classic R&B/doo-wop, The New Pornographers, Belle and Sebastian, Neko Case, and the Beatles are among favorites.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

While living in San Francisco, I saw a parrot wearing a top hat, perched on the shoulder of a man walking down the street at 7.30 AM. What kind of occasion would require such fancy attire so early in the morning?

Teach, Learn, Share

Happy to engage in a language exchange if someone here in Honduras wants to practice their English, or someone is just beginning to learn Spanish (doubtful I can be of much help to more advanced speakers).

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Costa Rica, France, Germany, Guatemala, India, Mexico, Nicaragua

Countries I’ve Lived In

Honduras, Italy, Switzerland, United States
