About Me

CURRENT MISSION

take our time and enjoy life as much as possible!!!

ABOUT ME

It's difficult to describe ourselves in a few sentences - we are open-minded, talkative and cheerful girls - best friends.

We love meeting new people and new cultures! We are looking for our own places on this Earth so maybe it's the reason why we like travelling so much:-)

The world is so beautiful and huge!!!We realise that time flies so we usually try to do as much as possible. We love meeting and talking to other people, and we believe, that one person CAN make a change in the world, and definitely can change the life of another person.

And so... we TRY:)

PHILOSOPHY

Our private philosphy is to use the time given to us.

Life is really short and it's up to us to make it beautiful. We should do our best to fulfil our dreams and appreciate every day!!!

Use your life. Use your stuff! Don't waste time on thinking what will people think? YOU are people. Go, Do, Experience, Use, Imagin the whole world is one big possibility!

Also- we think that just one person can make a difference. Just one person can make another one's life better- and that's what we try to do.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

If you need help in Poland (especially Wroclaw and Katowice) we will rescue you!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We simply LOVE it! This past few years we met WONDERFULL people, who inspire us every day to do more, to be better, do create, enjoy life and be fantastic every single day!

Interests

We are fond of travelling (uu dah...), learning foreign languages (English and Russian), watching films, reading books and of course - meeting new friends!!!

The whole world is our one big playground, and we believe, that every day, every minute, and every second of life can be interesting.

Ania makes scrap books, Anita swims, we both try to dance.

We sometimes cook. We love hanging out. Talking for hours about everything and nothing. Trying to sing russian songs (and failing at it with a glorious smile)

We are interesed in people. Tell us who you are. We really like hosts who let us into their worlds. Show us their life. Their friends. Their special places.

We believe the only way to realy visit a country is to get to know it's people

Music, Movies, and Books

Anita:
I like lots films but favourite ones are "Titanic", "Memories of the Geisha" and "Alice in Wonderland".
I read diffrent types of books -from fantasy to guidebooks :-) My favourite authors are Paulo Coelho and Francine Rivers.
I don't have my favourite type of music - I listen almost everything.

Ania:
Oh, I'm a big music/movie/book geek.
BOOKS-> i read almost everything, but with different level of enjoyment... I love Jack Kerouac, Dymitri Gluchovsky (Metro series- breathtaking!!!), Johnatan Safran Foer, Stephen King John Irving, Jeffrey Eugenides, Jane Austen, Milan Kundera, Terry Pratchett (the top of my list). I love exploring new authors, learning new ideas.
MOVIES-> Tim Burton (favorite director) generally you can say I like movies which are different in any kind of way. My favorite one's, besides Burtons, are: Garden State, 10 items or less, Into the wild, Pride and Prejudice, Wristcutters a love story, Sin City, Now is good, Restless, 50/50 and more.
MUSIC-> I hate naming genres, because music is so various that any kind of typology is just plain unfair! but if i had to name some bands i would list: Interpol, Editors, Bastille, The National, Of Monsters and Men, Broken Records, Youth Group (so you could say... alternative/indie sound), plus i love OST from various movies. Oh, and I love live music- and prefer it to studio albums:)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This is a true story:
- during our Balkan trip, we went to Novi Sad. We were supposed to stay ther a few hours, but when we met our guide (Couchserfer Nikola <3 - we love you forever) we had to stay all night!
- Nikola took us to a bar, where a CS meeting took place, and we met am awesome Polish guy living in Vienna (Gaweł we love you!)
- we took this Polish guy with us to Belgrade, so he didn't have to catch a ride there
- a year later, he hosted us in Vienna, giving us the best experience possible

This IS a wonderfull community!!!!
