About Me

Hello! I'm Anita or Annie :)

I love music, writing, books, cooking, tennis & TRAVEL.

I am very passionate about global health, missions and community. I love experiencing new culture and society. It makes me appreciate life more.

I have SO many places I want to visit. My dream spot is and as always will be Santorini, Greece. Soon though.

Favorite thing in the world to eat… is fish.

I love to tell stories about culture shock, I think that's the most beautiful part of travel.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My yearn for adventure brought me here. I know that there's MORE to life than just "living". There's more to see! There are people to meet. There are places to go. There are dreams to turn into realities.

I'M HERE TO LEARN! I want to learn about the different foods, lifestyle.... community firsthand, things other options for accommodation (like hotels or apartments) might be unable to offer me.

I want to visit a new place and leave knowing that I had the best all-around experience possible, I know that couch surfing will help me achieve this.

Most importantly, I'm here to motivate my family to travel more. If they see that couch surfing worked for me, I know that they will be willing to give it a try too.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to everything.

All-time Favorite musician = Yanni

Favorite movie: I have quite a few but let's go with Age of Adaline, Brother bear, and The Odyssey.

Favorite books: The Selfish Gene, The four agreements

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Craziest thing I ever did (so far) would be uhm … well, it’s either getting into a river at night that had stingrays or jumping off a cliff into a waterfall. I also think that was the closest I’ve ever been to dying. That being said, Will I jump again? Absolutely.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a "leftie". #teamsouthpaw

I love art! music... paintings... poetry

I think I am pretty fun to hang out with. I can sing really well (not to brag or anything lol), I'm presently learning how to play the keyboard and I am a great cook! Oh I read a lot too so if you are a reader, we have something to bond over! I can also teach you a few things about my culture as well!

I believe experience and growth is not just about progression or being a better person, I think it’s more about motivating the people around you to become better as well. This is who I want to be, what I want to do. I want my journey through life to be an inspiration to myself, my family and the rest of the world.

I have a blog, check it out! www.ladyajala.com :)

Oh, and my favorite color is burgundy 🙂
