About Me
Hi there, my name is Anita, I'm a 24 years old student coming from Italy. I was born in a very small town not too far from Venice, but four years ago I moved to Milan for attending uni in there. I have recently graduated in modern literatures and now I am currently studying to get a master degree. Right now I’m living in the USA and I’m the Italian Teacher Assistant at Bard College. I have tons of different interests: I am a bookworm and my favorite writers are Jack Kerouac and Marcel Proust. I am also an amateur actress and so far I took part in several theatrical productions in Milan. I am also keen on music, especially in the one from the 60's and 70's. As a child, I used to take dance classes, even thought I was kinda hopeless. I am not exactly a sporty type, but I do love to swim! I have a thing for pets and I would be more than happy to share the house with your lovely puppies!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
In my travels, the thing that I love the most is to immerse myself completely in the surrounding culture. I love to be in direct touch with the local costumes and habits so in this way Couchsurfing is the best way to do it! In fact this solution allows me not only to get to know amazing people, but also to practice the language!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
It's hard for me to pick just one single event, cause all my life is full of amazing adventures! Sometimes it feels like living in a movie.. Anyway, if I really have to choose, I would say that one time when I was in Barcelona for an Euro Trip with some friends of mine. We lost the coincidence for Madrid and while we were sleeping outside the station, some fella approached us asking if we wanted some weed. I was so tired that I answered that the only thing I really wanted in that moment was just a cup of tea!
Teach, Learn, Share
Being Italian, I would be more than happy to share with you some of the most amazing secrets for the perfect Italian pasta! I would also love to teach you some french or Italian literature. I am also a pro when it comes to singing every single Disney song in more than ten different languages! Obviously, I would like to learn everything I can about your culture and habits
What I Can Share with Hosts
