Overview
About Me
Growing up in a multicultural environment in Vancouver, BC, I've always been curious about different cultures. Hence, not only did I befriend your typical "Canadian" (if there is such a thing) but also exchange students. I also took the opportunity to try lots of different foods. When I became a certified high school teacher, I leaped at the opportunity to live in a new country--China. After a 3-year stint, I started travelling in India.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I heard about it from a friend and thought it'd be cool to try it out.
Interests
I love biking, hiking, canoeing, whitewater rafting and kayaking--anything that brings me into the great outdoors! I also enjoy reading both fiction and non-fiction immensely. I've always been open to trying new foods and used to be a serious foodie (now I have fewer options being in India). Playing the piano is also something I enjoy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Stayed in Jiuzhaigou (a national park in China) past the closing hours and got "stuck" on a trail because my best friend had "heard a vicious animal, possibly a bear of sorts," so we had to be rescued by the police & park rangers. Maybe more silly than amazing :P

That is what I hope I'm living out right now.
