About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Live life as optimistically as possible

ABOUT ME

I'm currently in the process of re-routing my professional career. I have been a elementary teacher (4th grade) for the last 5 years and now pursuing my masters degree in International Education. My practicum brings me to Washington, DC. I'm a young professional working for a non-profit with the hopes in launching my educational career into the private sector. I've jumped onto the path in working to make some serious changes to our nations educational policies. I hope to incorporate more intercultural components into our curriculum. *rant finished*

About me: I'm 32 years old. I love traveling and learning useless tidbits. I am currently an intern at One World Education in Washington DC. I'm always up for exploring new things. I love animals, dogs and cats are equally liked by me! My hobbies include photography, reading, dance workouts, and knitting. These are my go-to hobbies, I also have a fun side, which includes activities that involve hanging out with people like dancing, happy hour, camping and hiking.

If you need more information about me feel free to ask. For the most part, I'm an open-book! :)

PHILOSOPHY

Pain makes you stronger.
Fear makes you braver.
Heartbreak makes you wiser.

Teach, Learn, Share

Mostly everyone I encounter I learn from, which is why I love meeting new people. I strongly believe if one keeps an open-mind and allows themselves the opportunities to engage, share and explore with others provides people a swarm of learning possibilities, no book or lecture can provide. Peer-to-Peer learning Advocate ALL THE WAY!
