About Me

I can call myself lucky enough to say I enjoy my life to the fullest and I'm a generally happy person. I enjoy meeting friends and spend time outside, at our beautiful river here in bern, in a café or bar in town or at home having a barbecue and a drink or just with coffee and a book in my hands..
I'm constantly suffering from wanderlust and that's why I love to host people from all over the world, to at least experience other cultures here at home. I can't be in Switzerland without at least talking about my next travel plans.
At the same time I love my city and I don't think I could leave and live somewhere else forever. I always enjoy to return after my travels and I like to show everyone what I like most about Bern.

I'm more of a quiet person but can get talkative an loud depending on the environment. I can't stand inequality and narcissistic people. Most of the time I prefer to listen before talking. I'm sensitive and quite often become overwhelmed by the things that happen in the world, which is why I shut things out that shouldn't be shut out. Not proud of it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had my first couchsurfing experience when I was only sixteen. I crashed on a couch in Berlin with two friends. Other places followed and as soon as I had my own apartment, I started hosting people from all over the world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

If I had to pick one it would be traveling to West Papua with barely no language skills. It was the most adventurous and interesting journey of my life.

But a time in my life that I will never forget is my semester abroad in Brisbane, Australia and my 6 months as an aupair in Castlebar, Ireland. Living abroad gives you the chance to start a whole new life and makes you so much more open-minded. I think these experiences as well as my travels all around the world made me who I am today and I am so grateful for that. And this shall be continued... :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm probably not the best language teacher because I suck at grammar. But I could try to teach a little German. Patric and me like to cook and we enjoy cooking local dishes of either of our countries with our couchsurfers. We have a guitar which needs to be played if you are keen. Patric can let you try out the bagpipes since he's a passionate player. Patric is a living history book of Bern, he has studied archeology and is generally interested in everything that has happened in the past.
