About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To do what I like and to like what I do!
ABOUT ME
How to describe myself? Hmmmm..
My friends would say I'm pretty cool, my siblings would say I'm just a fool, my dad would say I'm the most amaaaazing person ever, my mum would tell you I never say never, but I'd like to think I'm a loving, caring, outgoing kinda girl who loves a few brews and knows how to twirl (a poi that is - Traditional Maori instrument used to strengthen wrists). My culture, my language plays a big part in who I am, so I wanna share this with the world or with whoever I can.
So, as you can tell poetry is definitely not one of my strong points, but that pretty much sums me up in a nut shell. I come from a huge family so home means a lot to me. Nothing like hanging out with my family, nieces and nephews.I love meeting new people and making connections with others around the world.
PHILOSOPHY
My family is my everything.I love them to bits and pieces.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN
I did a bit of hosting before I traveled last year and wish I could make the same commitment at the moment, but my work is so unpredictable so I can't make many promises, but I'm still keen to meet up and show you around my beautiful hometown if I have the time.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Last year I traveled the world to all of my favourite places and met tons of people thru couchsurfing events and such. Now I'm back home but are still keen to meet other travelers from around the world and live vicariously through you!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I presented a documentary series called Kiaora Nihao when I was 18 in my last year of school. We travelled to China and stayed with 3 different families over 3 weeks. The series showcased the contrast of the chinese and Maori cultures through the eyes of teenagers. It was my first taste of really travelling outside of the pacific, and I loved every moment!
Teach, Learn, Share
Like I said I love to learn about people and their cultures.
I have quite a strong Maori background so I have a few things under my belt that I can share with others (a haka maybe?).
Currently I'm a teacher at a Maori Tertiary Provider in Auckland teaching the Maori Language, so I can share my language with you as well.
