Overview
About Me
I'm living in/travelling Australia at the moment, so right now I can't offer a couch! But as soon as I'm back in Vienna and settled in again, I'll try to return all the favours of hosting I've received :)
I think it is hard to describe oneself, but I'll try my best. I'm an active, energetic person, so quite the opposite of a couch potatoe! I'm a horrible planner ( a reason why I believe in serendipity) but I constantly try to become a better version of myself and get more organised!
I can be extremely talkative, but no worries, I also have quiet phases! I do love hearing great stories from other people and have a good laugh!
As I'm going to be a teacher I'm always very fond of tips with educational value..can be some more information in a subject matter, or more importantly, ideas on how to bring out the best in every child, increase their self-esteem and support them on their way of finding themselves/creating themselves (still not sure whether it is the one or the other) ;)
When you are staying with me it's extremely likely that you get to know my wonderful boyfriend Ben as well! Here's the link to his profile :)

I love getting to know people that are staying at my place and getting an insight into their cultures and worldviews! That's extremely interesting and also important to me!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think that each and everyone of us can contribute towards a change in the world, and couchsurfing is a very good start! Letting people you barely know beforehand into your flat and welcome them with open arms - that's why I like the CS community so much! If everyone would be that open-minded, warm-hearted and tolerant the world would be a better place!
Also, I'm very lucky to have been hosted several times and now I'm looking forward to give something back by hosting people in my hometown Vienna!
Travelling foreign countries, meeting new people, making new friends all over the globe, getting to know different cultures - couchsurfing makes all of this possible ;)
Also, the best way of really getting to know a country is to get to know people, who live there. Who else could tell, or probably show, you the best spots? :)
Couchsurfing for me does not only represent the best way of travelling, but also somehow a way of living :)
- Being open-minded, friendly and helpful - that's a typical couchsurfer/host for me :)
Interests
I love exploring!! - meaning: new countries, cultures, but also book stores: finding a new treasure to worship and admire :)
Meeting friends- going out-having a picnic, going to the theatre, cinema, doing crafts (I always start scrapbooks, but until now I've never managed to finish one - unfortunately), karaoke (loud, false and passionately :p). I also love to try out new things and experiment, be it cooking (new recipes, especially in regard to baking), or new sport styles like wake boardin, yoga or ballett, I have this strong urge to experience and get an idea of everything ;)

Music, Movies, and Books
MUSIC
I'm a HUGE fan of Indie and Alternative Music - I love the Strokes, The Arctic Monkeys, The Kooks, Alt-J, The Neighbourhood, Kings of Leon, Florence &the Machine, Mumford and Sons, Babyshambles, Jake Bugg, The Fratellis, Killers, Neon Trees, the Beatles, The Smiths, Tallest Man on Earth, Manman, and so many more :)
But I'm pretty open to anything else - for instance in Ireland I was introduced to Watsky and now I have to admit that I'm a huge fan too! So please introduce me to new bands and artists!!
BOOKS
I can be an extreme bookworm as well- when I'm really into a book (which-honestly-I'm very very often) I refuse to leave my favourite reading spot for hours! I basically read everything I can get hold of - from recipes to travel guides ;)
Books I adore are Khaled Hosseini's "And the Mountains Echoed" and "The Kite Runner", but I'm also very fond of classics. I love Jane Austen's novels, Edgar Allen Poe's and Arthur Conan Doyle's work. Another of my favourites is "Extremely loud and incredibly close"!
My ultimate favourite writer of all time is Oscar Wilde!! I can't help but being wilde about him (little word pun) :)
