Overview
About Me
I recently moved back home to NorCal after almost 8 years spent in the Carolinas. I make occasional cross-country trips to visit friends all over the U.S. and hope to visit Europe again in the near future. I did a year abroad in Ireland, during which time I got to see several major European cities. I love travel, art, music, dance, crafts, history, and exploring different cultures in general.
My career is as a dance teacher in schools and studios, but my "day job" has been in Hospitality & Administrative Assistance.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love the idea of making hospitality intimate and more personal (not to mention cheaper!). Having worked in the hotel industry for a number of years, I've really come to appreciate smaller, more friendly and personal hosts vs. larger chain businesses. I'd love to make friends from all over the world!

Music, Movies, and Books
Too many to list! I'm very eclectic and like a bit of every genre!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Well, I've actually done this one thing twice now... Performed in Carnegie Hall! My high school symphony orchestra performed in a youth music festival there back in 05, and then I went back in college with my college choir to perform Carmina Burana. I've been incredibly lucky to perform with amazing artists in such a prestigious venue!
I also have absolutely loved and cherished my year studying abroad in Ireland and all my childhood trips to Germany.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to teach dance and music, and as a Jacqueline-of-all-trades, I love to learn a bit about everything! Trading travel stories, life philosophies, religious views, political discussions.... basically discussing anything and everything! I like to explore off the normal tourist-beaten path and prefer deep discussions over small talk.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Happy to help with cleaning, cooking, child/pet care, running errands, tutoring students, etc.
