Hello everyone :)

I'm a 6th year medicine student living in Innsbruck in Austria, but I come from Erlangen, a city near Nuremberg in Germany.
After finishing my studies I'm planning to become a psychiatrist.

I'm alway curious to meet new people, see new places, try new food, drinks or activities. I'm open-minded, always love to have a good talk and drink a good beer - in Franconia, where I come from, it is kind of a staple food ^.^ - (or vine or whiskey :D). Also I like to go out dancing sometimes, but I too love a nice evening at home watching good series or films or reading a thrilling book.

I totally love animals and like enjoying nature while going for a walk or hiking. Nevertheless, I'm fascinated by big citys as well.

Kind of a non-smoker since a few months (I only still smoke sometimes when I go out drinking).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have always been curious to get to know new cultures and think that the best way to do that is to get to know people from different cultures as well as, when visiting a new country, staying with locals or at least with people who have been living there for a while.
Also now I am planning my first trip completely alone (before I was always travelling with family or partner, which lead to preferring a hotel over couchsurfing), so I finally chose to try couchsurfing and would be really happy to meet a few people to give me some tips and maybe show me around a little in their hometown :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I like a broad variety of music, like metal and rock (e.g. Metallica, Alterbridge, Paramore), but also electronic music (e.g. Paul Kalkbrenner, Klangkarrusell), electro-swing, sometimes also a little bit of pop music (e.g. Melanie Martinez) and hip hop (e.g. Eminem, Alligatoah, KIZ).

Movies: some of my favorites are Fight Club, Sleepy Hollow and The Phantom of the Opera.

Series and Animes: the list of my favorite series is a little bit longer ^.^ : Sons of Anarchy, Dr. House, Scrubs, How I met your Mother, Supernatural, Game of Thrones, Elfenlied, Inuyasha, Cowboy Bebop, Ghost in a Shell...

Books: I mostly like psychological thrillers like those by Sebastian Fitzek (I loved all of his books that I read). Some others of my favorites are: Gone Girl (Gillian Flynn), The importance of being earnest (Oscar Wilde) and 1984 (George Orwell).
