About Me

I’m a student from South Africa currently studying accounting. I’m a curious person who loves learning about people, cultures and how others see the world. I enjoy meaningful conversations, being outdoors, and trying new things.

I love being active — whether it’s hiking, swimming, cycling, or exploring somewhere new. I’m also someone who values community and connection.

People usually describe me as adaptable, positive and easy to be around. I enjoy simple things: good food, beautiful landscapes, music, and deeper conversations.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For me travelling isn’t about ticking off tourist attractions — it’s about experiencing places through the eyes of locals and discovering the real character of a place.

Couchsurfing feels like the perfect way to do that, to hear stories, and make meaningful connections along the way. I’d much rather discover a beautiful hike, local café, or quiet spot in nature than follow a typical tourist itinerary.

I also believe we shouldn’t go about life in our own little bubble, but meet people that differ from you in many aspects.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love gospel, country, indie folk as well as Afrikaans “sokkie” music. ( I’ll give you some songs to listen to if you are keen)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I’m cliff jumped 20 meters :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I’d love to share South African culture and stories about where I come from. I can also teach you some Afrikaans phrases if you’re curious!

I enjoy cooking simple meals together, sharing music, and having conversations about life, faith, different cultures and experiences.

I’d also love to learn about local traditions, hidden nature spots, and the everyday life of the place I’m visiting.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I’m a respectful and easygoing guest who is happy to adapt to the rhythm of your home. I’m always glad to help out with small things like cooking or running errands.

I’d love to share stories about South Africa and can cook a simple South African meal if you’re interested. I can also teach you a fee phrases in Afrikaans if you are curious :)

Mostly, I try to bring a positive attitude, curiosity and appreciation for the opportunity to meet new people and experience life from a different perspective.
