About Me

Moin moin!

I always find it hard to describe myself, but I guess I'm very sociable, easy-going, fun to hang out with, a little bit crazy and chaotic, open-minded, adventurous and interested in everything that's new and different.

I've just finished my studies (a time that I'd used to travel a lot), moved to Hamburg and started teaching at a high school. I teach English and Philosophy and enjoy this new challenge a lot.

I wouldn't say I'm the stereotypical teacher though, since I'm not striving for a straight career but am still feeling too much of this Wanderlust-restlessness that probably unites a lot of people on couchsurfing. Well, I guess I have to make the most of my holidays for now ;-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My first couchsurfing experiences were during my work&holiday stay in Australia and New Zealand and they made my time unforgettable! Then I did it again while traveling through the South of the U.S. and met even more amazing and super friendly people who again enhanced my stay! Visiting a place while meeting and getting to know people actually living there is a priceless experience! It gives you a very different and deeper understanding of places, cultures, and traditions.

Since I've always been living (and still do) in shared apartments where I only have one room for myself, it's always been difficult for me to host but I can't wait for the day I have my own little flat featuring the perfect couch/guest room!! ;-)

As I'm also new in Hamburg and still excited to explore more of this city, I'm open to meet up for some sightseeing though! At the moment I'm still very busy settling into this teaching business but I hope that'll get easier and less time-eating ;-)

Can't wait to meet you!
Alles Liebe,
Anja
