About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Traveling, absorbing, listening, learning. Simply as that.

ABOUT ME

My name is Anja and I'm an open-minded individual who enjoys traveling, meeting new people and exploring. I'm a former textile design student who've discovered the wonders of science but mostly keeps busy traveling. Interests ranges from reading anything I can decipher to traveling, meeting new people, horseback riding, swimming, creative stuff and politics. Basically I'm mainly interested in other people's stories and

PHILOSOPHY

If something at first doesn't seem absurd there's no point in doing it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hosting, showing people around, meeting up for coffee. I'm open for anything.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfed in Spain, France, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Sweden, India and Bhutan. In Spain when I was an intern at a textile design studio. In Paris at an old pen pals place. In India where I met some of the most dynamic, kind and inspiring people I've ever encountered. So yes, CS is one of many things that makes being on the road worthwhile. Great people, great fun.

Interests

Drawing, weaving, reading, movies, traveling, music, meeting new people and of course to spend time with friends and family, horseback riding, fishing, swimming etc. My recent obsession is sudoku which I picked up in India.

Music, Movies, and Books

Bah, anything really.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lived with Buddhist nuns in Bhutan volunteering as an English teacher. The luxury of having lived in a society where public space hasn't been invaded by advertising or billboards is undescribable.

Teach, Learn, Share

If I would say one thing it would be don't be afraid of trying and don't let possessions as well as your preconceived idea about yourself, others and the world hold you back. The world as you know it is not static and things will change. Embrace crisis.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Anything really.
