Overview
About Me
Hey there! I'm Anjali, originally from the vibrant land of India and currently diving deep into the world of Data Science in Edinburgh.
I love adventure. Whether it's sports, casual cycling through scenic routes, or trying out new recipes in the kitchen, I'm always on the move. Speaking of adventures, I once broke two fingers learning to surf – a painful but hilarious tale I’d love to share. 🚴♀️🏄♀️
One of the best parts of traveling for me is meeting new people. I believe everyone has a unique story shaped by their culture and background, and I’m eager to hear yours! Plus, a little local insight goes a long way when exploring new places.
So, if you're up for some lively conversations, home-cooked meals, and maybe a cycling adventure or two, I'd love to meet you. Looking forward to making new friends and creating unforgettable memories on Couchsurfing!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing because I love meeting new people from different backgrounds and cultures, and it’s an awesome way to make travel more affordable and fun. Whether it's swapping stories, sharing home-cooked meals, or going on local adventures, I think it's the best way to truly experience a place. Plus, I believe in the idea of community and helping each other out, so I'm excited to both host and be hosted by amazing people around the world!
Interests
Traveling is my true passion. Spain holds a special place in my heart, and I'm eagerly looking forward to exploring the unique wildlife of Madagascar someday. Beaches are my happy place, and I adore animals, especially dogs – the furrier, the better! 🦮🐾🦒🐩🐆

Music, Movies, and Books
I love sharing music recommendations, especially if you're into Coldplay, OneRepublic, and similar bands – they're some of my favorites too! When it comes to movies, I'm into everything from gripping thrillers to heartwarming romcoms – and I'm always up for a good movie night. If you have any favorites, I'd love to hear about them and swap recommendations!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Since moving to the UK, I've picked up paddle boarding and kayaking, adding to my list of water escapades.
I love driving, and there's nothing like the freedom of hitting the road to discover new places.
But let’s not forget, I am also a champion sleeper; I once missed a flight simply because I couldn’t wake up on time! ✈️
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm excited to teach you some delicious Indian recipes and share my baking tips, especially if you have a sweet tooth! I would love to learn a new language and teach you mine, if you’d like that. I’d love to learn about your favorite local spots, customs, and any cool adventures you’ve had. And I’m always up for sharing travel stories, swapping cultural insights, and maybe even some paddle boarding or surfing tips (though I’m just a beginner).
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share a taste of India with my cooking – think homemade curries! I can also bring a bit of adventure to our time together with some outdoor activities like walking, running or exploring new places. Plus, I’m always up for engaging conversations about travel, culture, and, of course, some funny and memorable travel stories. And if you have a dog, I’m more than happy to help out with some furry friend cuddles!
