About Me

I ONLY HOST WOMEN. This is for comfortability and safety reasons.

I'm currently a teacher in Prishtina, Kosovo! I was born in the Philippines, moved to Los Angeles when I was 6, then moved to Iowa for college. I've always been itching to see new places. I'm pretty laid back and always up for adventures and making new friends! I also love cooking so I'm down to cook if you're up for new things :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Sometimes, a traveler wants a different type of experience; hotels (and sometimes even hostels) may not cut it when it comes to socializations. I am just starting out on solo traveling and while I love my alone time, some local company couldn't hurt! I think touristy spots are nice but the locals are really what make a place special. I'd love to get to know a place through a local's eyes. Plus, I love making new friends so I hope to find some pretty special people along my travels!

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a huge Sara Bareilles fan! If I had to name a favorite artist, it would be her. She is a phenomenal singer, writer, and overall performer. I like anything that has good lyrics and good music though. As for movies, I will watch anything that catches my eye. I don't really have one favorite movie, although I love "Love Actually" during Christmas time! I'm also a huge fan of the Harry Potter books! They have been my saving grace throughout my teenage years. I love a good mystery/thriller book as well, such as "Gone Girl."

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Signed a 2 year teaching contract, packed my bags, and moved to Kosovo. Never heard anything about it except in high school, didn't know anyone who's been there before, but took the plunge anyway.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'd like to think I'm a pretty good cook so I am up for cooking any dish, especially Filipino foods! I love sharing my culture and food with others. I can also help clean of course!
