Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've been part of CS for some time in different fashions, but have completely enjoyed the experiences. Currently not in a position to share a couch, but always interested in meeting fellow travelers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

On my own I have been offering couches and calling on couches for years. I get visits from all sorts of people that I either know well, or barely at all. I've hosted friend's parents, friends of friends, and even just a couple months ago a friend's band stayed over. Everyone is welcome!

Recently while traveling I met up with some CS groups and had a blast. Every surfer who's stayed at our place so far has been fantastic. I love the constant reminders of how wonderful people are.

On the other side I travel a lot and call on random connections often. For example, next month I'm headed to Barcelona where I'll be crashing on a friend's boyfriend's sister's couch!

I'm looking forward to seeing how this website expands all those options.

Interests

Last night we closed down an after hours salsa club where all are welcome and all dance, but you have to knock to enter. I overslept and made a gorgeous breakfast with my roommate and ate it in the backyard while taking pictures of the bugs climbing on my little kitchen garden. Then climbed on my bike and went to hear all kinds of music at a street fair. I met some friends there and shared stories and jokes and beers and then came home to finish some web project I've been wanting to finish for some time. These are my interests.
