About Me

TRAVELLING AT THE MOMENT - CAN'T ACCEPT GUESTS NOW :)

I'm from South Africa and spent 4 years in South Korea as an English Teacher, I cycled in Indonesia for 2 months, got food poisoning too many times, filled up a passport, worked as a copywriter and now I'm a freelance travel writer ( I also have a travel blog called: www.goingsomewhereslowly.com).

I have a soft spot for my bicycle, different cultures and languages (especially Bahasa Indonesia). I have a coffee problem, a love for tattoos and I'm obsessed with beautiful words.

I talk in my sleep. Sorry :(

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because of all the kindness I received from strangers while travelling. Couchsurfing gives me the opportunity to give back and share some of that hospitality.

To me Couchsurfing is like having the whole world in your living room.

I'm on Couchsurfing to meet like-minded people, interact with locals and or other travellers. I'm NOT on Couchsurfing because it's "free".

Please read this if you consider hitting that "Send a Couch Request Button" :

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Trekking (and Holi Festival) in Nepal.
Cycling for two months in Indonesia.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you to cook/bake some South African dishes; perhaps help you to start a blog and how to use social media for a business.

If you can teach me more Bahasa Indonesia I'll be on cloud nine! Also won't mind to know more about video editing!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share South African dishes and recipes with you, teach you English or Afrikaans, help you to start a blog/website and share stories.

Countries I’ve Visited

Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Namibia, Nepal, Philippines, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Thailand

Countries I’ve Lived In
