ABOUT ME

well I'm an absolutely unorganized person but I make up for that by being very spontaneous. I can also find something good in about everything (and see the absence of hot water for a month as the Russian way to tighten social contacts because you have to use other people's shower.)
Apart from that I'm still in search of the meaning of live and the question to the answer of everything - 42.

I couchsurfed a lot in recent years but only once hosted somebody, so I'd love to give back some of the positive experiences...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I made a lot of great experiences with CS, especially in Eastern Europe/Russia and was often asthonished by the kindness of people.
It really gives you back the belief in humanity...
The most interesting host was probably a Zurich anarchistic vegan world traveller whose apartment was entirely dedicated to political statements. His stories about travelling with CS/Hospitality-club while eating a strange Tofu dish really encouraged me to travel this way.

Interests

These days - going swimming in anything that looks remotely like water...
I'm quite crazy about everything concerning culture - I love literature, modern art, theatre,....So don't be surprised if I go on about some DADA-art exhibition for an hour or two.
The same goes actually for politics and environment related topics.
After a month of cold water only in dorm: i really appreciate hot showers!

my favourite books: The last samurai (such a great book!) 4.48 psychosis, Der Spiegel im Spiegel (but also everything else by Michael Ende), the Sandman comics

music: my taste changes a lot.. right now: everything in the direction of rock or alternative and a lot of old stuff, especially from the 20s

movies: The dreams of Akira Kurosawa, Big Fish, Arizona dream, Herr Lehmann, The Royal Tennenbaums! and everything by the directing genius Wes Anderson
+ lots and lots more that i will mention next time i change my profile

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

bungee-jumping 80m above the sea, being threatened with a gun in prague, walking barefoot at -42°, swimming in a completely dark river at night (with trees in it - totally scary...)
