About Me

Hey fellow traveler,
I love exploring new places, try different cuisines, know about people and their culture. I think life is finding answers to questions: crazy questions, sometimes unasked questions, stupid questions and the like.

Also, in my free time, I built a driverless racing car! Love making pancakes and brownies on the weekends.

I grew up in a small town in the northern part of India. I studied in a boarding school in the Himalayas for 8 years and moved to the southern part of India for university where I studied Computer Science. I was lucky to come to Europe for an internship in Freiburg, Germany during my bachelor's. While in Europe, I felt I could relate to people living here. On one of my one-day trips to Zurich, I literally stumbled upon ETH Zurich (which I thought was a museum, to begin with, and then realized it was a uni) where I am studying Machine Learning and Robotics.

I was also in Singapore for several months while on an internship working on autonomous taxis. Sitting in one of them felt like the future. And no, it does not smell of robo-pocalypse at all, believe me! More like an 18-year-old who just got his/her driving license approved.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet different people and hear their stories. I think everyone has a story to tell, what got them where they are and their life in general. The best way to learn about and experience (not a first hand of course) is to listen, just listen to what other people have to say.

Traveling around with them like locals, cook together and share recipes. Dance to some music or chill in the park or barbeque and sunbathe by the lake.

And of course, make new connections and keep it that way for the years to come. Hopefully, meeting again in this small world. 😄

Interests

Salsa-ing my way into most things. On a more serious note, I am learning dancing salsa and it is just mind-blowing. 10/10 would recommend.
I find learning new languages quite interesting. Parlo un po italiano.
Photography is one of my hobbies and I am a passionate cook. If you would like to see what I can cook, you can find a (non-exhaustive :P) list in the form of pictures in the albums section. ;)
