About Me

I learn something about myself by meeting new people, indulging in interesting conversations and exploring a place I have never been before. I am at a point a point in my life where I am accepting transitions (I think) regarding my beliefs, my thoughts, my choices and pretty much everything under the sky. This has made me eager to understand other's point of view and putting myself in their place. Travelling has been the biggest influencer for last 3 years along with many movies and books suggested by fellow travelers. I am learning to cook and I am an exaggerated amateur. Tell me what else to add here if we end up meeting each other.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I don't know if I was living under a rock for the last three years to not have joined this community earlier, better late than never. Like most of you out here, I am looking forward to meeting like-minded people and enjoy a city like it's my own. I have some information as well about places I have been to and this platform is best to encourage fellow travellers to experience them.

Interests

They have changed drastically over the last few years. Ones that consume my time these days are open courses from platforms like coursera, poetry both spoken as well as written in every language I can understand and thus end up knowing more about the beauty of language, travel is the reason behind these changes and this only encourages me to continue my experiments with travel further, movies, music and books take up my leisure time and playing badminton is something I do to exercise (gym is too monotonous for me)

Music, Movies, and Books

I balance self-help and fiction picking up one after the other or maybe reading both of them at a time. Dan Brown, Charles Duhig, Paolo Coelho, Amish Tripathi, Stieg Larsson, Spencer Johnson, Paul Leinwand and like are the authors I have read but I rarely pick a book because of an author they often land up on my reading list because someone suggested it.
Movies help me escape reality and ultimately help me understand the one I am living in. The genre is not a bar. The ones I can recollect enjoying are Anand, 500 days of summer, Martian, Interstellar, About Time and many more, all of which were again recommended.
Music I enjoy, oscillates between Indian melodies(mostly old ones) and western not so famous bands like Magic, Mumford and sons, Light, and many more along with movie scores and occasional pop song though I am open to pretty much everything but am quick to judge here.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have witnessed the changing ceremony of Guru Granth Sahib at golden temple, Amritsar.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can be a great listener and suggest you something to indulge you free time in( a book or a gazal or songs or movies). I try any and every dish someone recommends me and thus can provide you comparisons of various dishes (you need to suggest me something to try first). Travel stories can be exchanged as well.
