ABOUT ME
I'm really laid back and easygoing. Also kind of shy at first, but I'll get over it eventually. I like the outdoors and the quiet. I like films and art quite a lot. I like Chinese food and my favorite snack is cool ranch doritos. I heard Cool Ranch Doritos are God's preferred midnight snack of choice. Social justice is my middle name.
I swear I'm not as boring as my profile makes me out to be, please believe me.
PHILOSOPHY
I try to treat everyone with as much kindness as possible. I also try to make a world a better place. That's really it. I try to keep it simple.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies - Anything by Charlie Kaufman, Half Nelson, Where the Wild Things Are, Children of Men, The Wrestler, This is the End, Taxi Driver and many more.
Music - A little bit of everything. I know that's a cop out, but it depends on what mood I'm in.
Books - Dave Eggers, Jonathan Kozal, My Heart is an Idiot, To Kill a Mockingbird, Harry Potter, I'm currently reading Taylor Branch's massive trilogy about the civil rights movement.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once rode a horse in the middle of nowhere in Wyoming through the most beautiful valleys and mountains and rivers in the world only to have my horse go berserk and gallop off the trail and up the side of a rocky mountain and get thrown off and bust my chin open. It was exhilarating!
I took my second semester of my freshman year of college off to travel the country to make a feature-length documentary about education from the student's perspective. It's had about 20 screenings all over the world.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know how to tie my shoes.
I know how to make lists.
I know I don't know very much.
But, I love learning.
