About Me

Pre-PS: Got a couch in the living room you can crash at depending on if our schedule aligns and preferably during weekends as the condo building I live in needs a fob to come in and out.

I'm grateful to have had multiple breakthroughs over the last 2 years (2018 and 2019) which allowed me to shed the inner child scripts that I had internalized growing up and form my own belief systems.

I say things as it is. No fluff. If you're 'not' into small talks and love deep talks, we'll enjoy each other's company and have engaging conversations.

My life's purpose is - To live inspired and live to inspire others. Currently, get to live my truth through reading, learning, sharing, working at a tech company based out of Silicon Valley, and pursue a couple of passion projects on the side.

I read a lot. Mostly non-fiction though.

During the spring of 2016, I flew to Mexico City for a Coldplay concert. Picked up a business idea and ended up traveling across and living in Puebla, Cholula, and Oaxaca for over a month. The business shut down after 12 months but was able to bring in a few key people into my inner circle including my Spanish Mom. Annnddd I discovered my core values.

I believe you can have everything in life if you help enough other people to get what they want in life. That's one of the reasons I'm on CS. But I am also an ex-Airbnb superhost.

Great hospitality is in my blood. Surfers agree.

Experience over Things.

Health is real wealth. Eat 90% plant-based. Actually more like 94% now.

Been to 49 US States and it is indeed a beautiful country.

For Hosts: If you're still reading this, then we'll probably hit it off right away and have a baller time getting to know and learn from each other.

For Guests: If you're looking for a place to crash during your visit to the Bay area, send me a message with 'why should I host you?' Extra points if you can cook authentic cuisine from your nation ;-)

Talk soon,
~Ankur

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I host frugal travelers. Some of them become close friends.

When I travel, I give Couchsurfing a greater preference to AirBnb or anything else just because I have met my 2 American Moms, 1 Spanish Mom, 2 American Dads (1 is now in Heaven), 2 brothers from another mothers and a long list of life-long friends...

Interests

Non-Fiction books from the public library have taught me more about life and business in 3 y than what I have learned in 7y of post-secondary education.

  • entrepreneurship
  • calisthenics
  • behavioral psychology
  • plant based living
  • side-hustle
  • screw the status quo

Music, Movies, and Books

Live concerts will always get the first preference. Don't watch TV but movies together with friends are always fun.

Teach, Learn, Share

How to be vulnerable, share your true story and make an authentic connection with others?

What I Can Share with Hosts

If you are working on your startup, I would love to brainstorm with you. Food is for you to use without seeking permission as long as you clear up any mess at the oven.

Like my friend from Italy said - Me Casa, Tu Casa.
