Hi, I'm Ankush, 25, from London, United Kingdom. I love travelling - I am a big believer that not only do you gain so much from traveling, but also you learn so much about yourself!

My passion for travel started in the summer of 2014 where I embarked on a Eurotrip and ever since then I have never looked back. I set myself a target to have visited 30 countries by the age of 30 and have currently got that to 31 and counting. I got a bit carried away with travelling recently!

I love meeting new people because after all travelling is all about the experiences and people you meet along the way. It's the exchange of cultures and traditions that makes the world a beautiful place. I love meeting locals who can share their culture with me. I love to hear and tell a good story as well as going for a drink!

Away from travelling, I have a day job as a financial auditor having studied Chemical Engineering at University (that isn't a normal career path to take!). I love playing and watching football (soccer - I support Arsenal). I am also an enthusiast of cricket and love to video edit. I do capture videos of all my travels as I love to compile a small video to remember all my trips.

I love to meet new people. The best way to experience a new place, is to meet locals and to get insider tips and recommendations from locals. Staying in a hotel is not for me, as you do not get the same experience. I hope that by meeting people through Couchsurfing, I will make life long friends and also even host others myself.
