About Me

Buenas! I'm currently exploring the wonder of Europe for the first time. Last year I taught English in Thailand and Cambodia and then realized what it felt like to fall in love with new corners of the world. I'm travelling to extend that love to new countries, ways of life, and people. I'm a yoga teacher, an everything-reader, and I'm frequently blown away by "mundane" things.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books

Currently in my ears: Ripe, Lake Street Dive,The Tallest Man on Earth, John Butler, Trevor Hall, Nahko, Phish, Paolo Nutini, and Delicate Steve.

I've been called movie-illiterate before, but I'm working on it and will be open to all movie suggestions.

Whichever book I'm reading usually feels like my favorite book but, I do have some all-time favorites include: East of Eden - Steinbeck, The Unbearable Lightness of Being - Kundera, Americanah - Ngozi, 100 Years of Solitude- Marquez, and Tiny Beautiful Things - Strayd

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I traveled along the Ha Giang Motorbike loop in Northern Vietnam, spending days driving up and down stunning mountain passes and nights making friends with the families running the warmest homestays. Over these 350ish kilometers, we smiled through real and metaphorical flat tires, bike drops, getting lost on single track dirt roads, and basked in the beauty of experiencing Vietnamese wilderness.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach some things! I'm certified to teach yoga and kickboxing-- I'm uncertified but able to teach ESL. I'm so interested in learning anything a host has to share.

And naturally, we can share stories and learn about the other's culture in this amazing way.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Personal yoga sessions! Kickboxing work outs. English as A Second Language tutoring. Most importantly a listening ear. Laughter and conversation. A loud and genuine appreciation for how incredible it is to welcome someone into your home simply out of your own generosity.
