ABOUT ME

I am a vocalist, a dancer, but mainly an improviser. I am a creative person and I like to explore performance and how it can reach an audience as well as the those performing. I believe that mind and body are one. I am hoping to connect those two as much as I can and to be able to reflect the results into performance practice with as much intellectual freedom as an artist should have to feel totally engaged.

Other than that, I love good food, laughing, good company, and learning languages. Obviously, I love travelling and the feeling when I pass the gate agent just before entering the aircraft. Confirmed. Yes! The next good feeling is after take-off. Now it's really confirmed.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't really watch TV, but I do enjoy Seinfeld. Two of my favorite movies are Frida and Bella Martha (german version). One of my favorite writers is Italo Calvino for his book Palomar. The last book I've read is Pina, a book about Pina Bausch's dance and theatrical practice.

One of my favorite piano player's is Keith Jarrett, mainly for his improvised concerts. I like to listen to Stravinsky's compositions, and adore his Rite of Spring. I enjoy armenian folk music very much, and always like to learn about other types of folk music as well or vocal music.
