About Me
Usually people say I am kind, modest, patient, calm, thoughtful. And I must say - it's true :) I don't usually speak much - but this is not because something is wrong or I don't like you! :) it is just a trait of my character. I feel comfortable just keeping silence, daydreaming, listening to other people, thinking about everything - this is my way to enjoy every moment of my life. However, I like discussing different things when I'm in the mood for it :) Getting to know interesting people and new information is always great, and I do like sharing my personal experience and knowledge as well! :)
Personal motto: "Happiness is a way of travel, not a destination" :)
IMPORTANT:
I'd like my profile to be read carefully before contacting me. I appreciate if you do that. So, if you need any advice about Kyiv or Ukraine - I'll gladly do my best to help you, feel free to write me a message.
I'm not always able to host, but if you really need it and don't care that my place is not in the city center - we could talk about it. And the most important thing - I can host only girls, sorry about that! The thing is that I live with my parents who are a bit conservative and I can't always have guests, especially guys. I hope for your understanding.
The next point: Couchsurfing is not a dating site, so if your aim is far from couchsurfing idea and you're just here to pick up girls (sorry good guys:), forget about it and PLEASE don't write me. (Unfortunately, I keep receiving such messages from time to time, so I had to post this disclaimer).
PHILOSOPHY
summed up in the following poem:
What is this life if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.
No time to stand beneath the boughs
And stare as long as sheep or cows.
No time to see, when woods we pass,
Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass.
No time to see, in broad daylight,
Streams full of stars, like skies at night.
No time to turn at Beauty's glance,
And watch her feet, how they can dance.
No time to wait till her mouth can
Enrich that smile her eyes began.
A poor life this if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare. (William Henry Davies)

Interests
First and foremost - I'm addicted to music and travelling :) I've been singing in choir for more than 10 years. I used to play piano and would love to learn how to play different instruments. Music is always my company, at home and on the road.
I love nature, hiking and backpacking trips, kayaking/canoeing, mountains, sea, live concerts and open-air festivals, getting around new places... to be continued :)
I love good, deep films and literature (especially modernist and postmodernist ones).
I am a postcrosser, only the beginner though :) (postcrossing is an international project of exchanging postcards). I also collect postcards, coins, tickets, different things from travels and I'll be extremely pleased to get one from you :)
I am crazy about languages, mostly European ones - so I'm always glad if there is a chance to learn at least the basics and a few words in foreign language :) it's my dream to speak as many languages as possible!
