I am a nursing student finishing school in Helsinki

I am Canadian

I love watching a game of hockey with a cold beer (and clam!)

My friends and family are incredibly important to me

I hate the coffee in Finland

I love spending time with my friends and family

PHILOSOPHY

I simply live my life. If I want to do something, I make plans to do it, then do it. At the end of my life I don't want to ever say "I wish I had done this...". I want to experience all I can in the short time I am able!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have just joined... am currently "homeless" so would be unable to host thus far. Have not tried couchsurfing yer.

Have not tried yet, just have met people who think it is wonderful!

Interests

I love running and am looking to run in an international marathon sometime in 2012. Haven't done too much research yet but am thinking of Amsterdam. Also want to run the rock and roll half marathon in Las Vegas this coming December

I have also done one sprint triathalon and really loved it. I hope to do more once I am done nursing school and my schedule allows sufficient time for training...

I love travelling, and can't wait to do more

I like to cook, love cooking with other people and learning new things and taking cooking classes! Helsinki has been great as I am meeting people from all over the world in my residence and we cook together several times a week

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am quite young so I don't feel as though I have done anything people other than me would find "amazing"! But one example is...

As a nurse I have seen too many amazing things to even think of! I have assisted with bringing life into the world and out of it, I have seen individuals overcome great adversity and I have been blessed to make a difference in people's lives... and I am only a student. I can't wait to get out into the working world and continue!
