Hey CS people : )

My name is Anna-Maria and I am native Bulgarian with Russian and a little bit of Greek blood. I am a mountain guide and just came back in my home country from Innsbruck, Austria where I lived the past two years, pursuing a business degree in one of their corporate high-end universities. I learned a lot for two years and feel like I developed a lot as a human being. I also can say that my education was more life-bound than university like - I learned way more out of the classroom, but also am grateful to have had the chance to be in a highly organized setting with some very challenging and intellectually demanding professors that taught me how to think in a more coherent way. I decided to transfer to another university from next year and to use this one as a GAP to travel the world. Now I am back in Sofia till the end of the summer and would love to meet new people with the idea to show you a little bit more of my home as I am a guide and love to brag about my little country : )) I am setting my own sustainable business with my family and we are focused in the recreational/ tourism/ design sector in Bulgaria so I am particularly interested in meeting artistic and creative people, but of course, am welcoming towards everyone. I love running, hiking, diving, swimming, biking and sometimes skiing - sports are a big part of my life and mountain life is my way of being. Started my PPL this year and hope to be able to finish it in few years and to officially become a pilot. Also more of a nature child than an urban girlie and really deff not your person for nightlife exploration aka lots of drinking and partying - I have very particular taste in music and enjoy only very classy places with quality music. :-))

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I met some amazing people here, including my best friend who was a roommate of a CS host :) I want to give something back, even if it's as little as this. I am grateful to have been hosted in Innsbruck when I had serious problems with moving there, so in my heart I want to give some of this care and consideration I received to others.

I also really enjoy different cultures and people with diverse backgrounds and appreciate the possibility to meet new and interesting people.

Teach, Learn, Share

From summer 2015, I am certified mountain guide in Bulgaria and I can take you in our mountains to show you the beauty we have here.There is so much joy and freedom in the shared moments with friends in a distant hut, especially when you have walked for hours. Food tastes great, people become friends easier and life is suddenly something more than it was :)

I love to share my spiritual journey with people and heard from many that I have a gift of a good listener. I sometimes have the role of a therapist to the people around me and have found that am able to give them deeper perspectives and to enrich their viewpoints with something from myself that I have learned through my own experience. I adore the feeling of speaking with someone who wants to go deeper in the messy subjects so if this kind of conversations are something you fancy, am sure we will have what to talk about :)
