About Me

I love music - especially playing the sax and all types of life music. And I love the silence. Sometimes it's also music.. ask John Cage;)
When I'm not practising myself or in a band, you find me running around most likely. I like being active and trying as many sports as possible. However, kitesurfing is my favourite! You definitely should try it!!

Beside music and sports I like to meet my friends as well as new people. Going out for party can be great, a nice and relaxed conversation with a glass of wine too.

After graduating from uni I was travelling and working abroad quite a lot. Never having a real plan, life showed me the most wonderful places, intense experiences and people who I’m happy not to have missed!

Although I expected myself everywhere except from where I settled down - a small place very far in the north of Germany - I’m happy to have found my home close to wide beaches, a Brazilian like kitespot and great people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet people and experience foreign countries in a less anonymous way. And to give something back of the great experiences I’ve already had.

Music, Movies, and Books

Sometimes I listen to all the songs of my library in shuffle mode. Not only once I had to start laughing when some electronic beats are followed by Mendelssohn‘s violin concert which leads to some reggaeton, charts or jazz music. I love to really listen to music, to play it, to dance to it...
One of my favourite books is „Shantaram“ by Gregory David Roberts. I found it in a book exchange in Thailand and took it to read something relaxed not knowing it will take me weeks to read it. There is so incredibly much to think about! I’m sure it won’t be less interesting to read it the second or fifth time!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did a hitchhiking trip to Croatia with my sister and sisters by heart! We were sleeping under the sky most of the nights, once in a ruin and got a hitchhike ride on a boat!

Another wonderful thing was a streetmusic trip with my band. We left all our money back home and travelled only by what we earned. Once we met another band with seven elderly guys from southeast Europe. We couldn’t communicate with words but hands, singing and big smiles made us playing together in the end. “Music is the language of us all” - The Cat Empire
