About Me
"Travel while you're young and able. Don't worry about the money, just make it work. Experience is far more valuable than money will ever be!"
I'm Anna and I'm a 21-year old student from Germany. I love travelling and I've finally made it to the U.S. Right now I'm living in California and I want to see as many different parts of America as I can. I'm staying with a host family here in Long Beach which is very interesting because you really get to know cultural differences. The California Culture is quite different to our German culture so I'm curious what else I will discover during my stay and I really hope that couchsurfing will contribute to that experience.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm studying in the U.S. for one semester and it is my first time to be in this country. That is why I'd like to get to know the culture as best as I can and see a lot of America. This means not only the tourist attractions but also to get to know Americans. I think couchsurfing is a good way to meet new people and to experience city trips from another point of view. Only doing typical tourist attractions is not my aim and I hope to get a lot of advice from couchsurfing hosts!
Interests
I like doing sports, i.e. I play lacrosse in Germany and I love Yoga because doing that just makes me relax. I also enjoy visiting different cities and of course I love to go to the beach :)

Music, Movies, and Books
I have to admit that I am a big fan of Nicholas Sparks and I have read almost all his novels. Besides I really like Sophie Kinsella's books especially the Shopaholic novels since her humour is great :)
I love to listen to Imagine Dragons and the Wombats. They are my favorite bands.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The coolest thing I've done so far is probably my 6month stay in the U.S. I have already hiked the Hollywood Sign which was very exhausting but worth it!
Teach, Learn, Share
What I still have to learn is for example rules of games like Football or Baseball because we don't have them in Germany.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share German recipes and information about facial treatments. Moreover, I can show you different yoga poses.
Countries I’ve Visited
