ABOUT ME

I am Anna, a cheerful Dutch girl. I am currently travelling in south east asia with my husband. I recently walked from the Netherlands to spain and reflect on life and connect with nature and people. I am someone who can be both calm and shy & spontaneous and outgoing. I am always in for exploring new places and being outdoors. I am mostly friendly and happy (unless I don´t get my daily dose of coffee ;) ) . I have lived in Palma de Mallorca( for 9 months) where I worked as an aupair and attended a language course to learn Spanish. In July 2014 I moved to Scotland, Edinburgh, a city I loved from the very start, because of the many cultural festivals, old buildings and lovely atmosphere. I really enjoy meeting people from other countries and going out to see new places. Now I´ll be travelling for 6 months (3 with and 3 without my husband) after which we will move to Leiden, the Netherlands together.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I showed some people around mallorca and Edinburgh. I also hangout in new city's with other couchsurfers. I occasionally organised dinnerparties, coffee meetings, language exchanges and climbing events in Edinburgh. I hosted a few times as well in Edinburgh.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed in Copenhagen, berlin, prague, krakow, bucharest, timisoara, budapest, belgrade, graz, basel and Edinburgh. I have attended meetings in Krakow, Eindhoven, Prague, Palma de Mallorca, Edinburgh and in Glasgow were I met some nice people. Great experiences and people.

Walking from the netherlands to spain in 2,5 months (2500 km)
Travelling south-east Asia
skydiving in the netherlands
bunjeejumping in Greece
working as a volunteer (giving back :) )
living abroad (spain and scotland)
trying out different foods (like snails, frogs legs, kangeroo)
Doing an interrail trip around europe for 2 weeks.(first cs experiences)
Going to Iceland for 10 days. THE MOST impressive nature I came across so far. AMAZING!!!!!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to hear about other peoples traveling stories and share my own. That's very inspiring. Always gets me excited to travel again.

I´m super interested in different parenting styles and have quite a bit of experience working with kids, so I would be happy to share my ideas.

I like to learn to make things. I could teach you how to make jam or soft cheese. I could teach you a bit about foraging for food.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I and am happy to stay in in the evenings and watch your kids or pets as I love both and don´t really party (more of a nature explorer) or cook some evenings during my stay.
