When I was 20 i fell in love and moved to Moscow.
I am a copywriter and sometimes director. I really love video. Especially short genre: music videos and commercials. Hope one day I will make something beautiful :) So i am always searching for inspiration.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Last summer i spent a wonderful week in mountains (Sochi). I've been directing a commercial video. That was a very touristic destination. Every day we saw tourists: they were coming for several hours to see the mountains, paying for getting to the peak, making silly same looking photos and going back. I think they were happy, but they had totally identical experience. They even could not walk wherever they wanted cause there was the only one route and other areas were restricted for the safety.
And there was another type of people in the mountains -- locals. They were so unbelievable cool. They worked at the chairlift, drove big off-roaders and buggys, they guided up a mountain. And they helped us a lot with our shooting. We scouted for the best locations, we've been to remoted areas. We've seen the night and the sunrise on the peak when nobody except our shooting team was there. We had a hardworking week almost without sleep, but we had so much pleasure! We felt exceptional. It is something that you can not buy. Since that time i'm looking for such impressions. I do not want to be a tourist anymore.

Now i have a period of electronic music.
I also like some hippie music and feel a little bit nostalgic about 60th and the Woodstock times :)

I like slow and ironical movies. I like Paolo Sorentino and Lars von Trier.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once i've been in a week-long trip in South Caucasus.
That was my first experience of a hiking tour. And it was very difficult physically, cause my backpack was nearly half of my weight. I did not expect it will be such heavy. I still can't believe i did this route :) and that was amazing!

I can make russian pancakes (if you have a suitable pan)
I will definitely shoot on a film camera and send you photos :)
And russian souvenirs of course. I don't really like matreshka cause actually it has not such a deep cultural tradition as it is believed. And we do not have matreshkas at our homes. But i can grab you some good staff:
herbal tea, pine nuts, russian streetwear t-shirt, local cosmetics or whatever you want.
