Overview
About Me
Hi there, my name is Anna, I am 22 years old and from Germany. I live in the South of Germany in a small town called Reutlingen, where I moved for my studies last year. Before that, I lived in France and Switzerland for two years and spent ten months in Ireland as an aupair after my High School graduation. As you can see, I love to travel and live in different countries, mostly to get to know the people and cities I live in, to experience the everyday life not only the tourist version of every country. I have a big interest in learning languages and I think you can do it best if you spend lots of time with local people and friends.
I like music, it makes me happy. I am not very into sports, but I go swimming occasionnally, I go to work or to university by bike and I used to play soccer. I prefer spending time outside hiking or just walking than staying inside and relaxing, but I never say no to a nice calm evening with friends on the couch with a glass of wine.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I really like to live in different cities when I am traveling, to meet local people, have good places to go and nice things to do and see others than tourist attractions. It is not only sleeping on somebody's couch, but experience their life in another city or country. I am quite new to the couchsurfing community, but I am eager to discover the spirit!

Music, Movies, and Books
My favourite music depends on the mood I am in. If I need something relaxing, I listen to classical music by Beethoven or Haydn, if I am happy I like the eighties as they were a little crazy back then, if I am a little blue, I prefer Phil Collins or Coldplay.
I don't have a favourite book, but I like mystery and detective stories, philosophical books about life, historical novels and for easy reading romantic comedies.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The 10 months in Ireland were amazing! It was such a great experience working with the children, living the Irish everyday life and travelling on the weekends. Ireland is a small island, so you can be in another county in two hours, but it has so much to offer, the landscape is so beautiful and people are very warm and welcoming, and always have a smile for you :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love to cook and try new recipes, although I don't always follow them after all, or I can teach you about the perks of the German language. I am always interested in a good discussion, normally you always learn something you didn't know before and leave with a different perspective on things.
