About Me
Brazilian 25-year-old currently making the move from the USA, where I've lived for the past 3,5 years to Denmark, where I'm about to start my master's degree in the environmental field. I'm in a transitional period at the moment where I won't have a fixed home for the next 2 months. I will travel around Brazil for 1 month and would love to start taking part in the Couchsurfing community.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
For the past 3,5 years I have always had multiple roommates so Couchsurfing wasn't quite an option. I will be embarking on a journey around the North of Brazil between June-July and I hope to make Couchsurf an integral part of my experience. Although I haven't hosted anyone, upon my getting established in my own home in the next 3 months, I will definitely open up my space for people who are traveling and seeking the greatest experience of all: meeting new places, people, learning new stores and undergoing transformative experiences.
Music, Movies, and Books
Currently in a non-fiction book phase about the history of Brazil- some of my favorites have been 1808, Uma História do Samba, 1565: Enquanto o Brasil Nascia. Other non-fiction have been Justice, Sapiens and Stuffed and Starved. I absolutely love fiction as well and some of amazing ones I've read are: The Stranger, Fahrenheit 451, The Shadow of the Wind, Americanah, Exit West, Homegoing.
As for music- I can't summarize it haha. Music from Brazil (not Sertanejo), Cuba, Argentina, Reggaeton, Mali, Ghana, Senegal, Rock, Shoegaze, Bluegrass, Folk- fill my heart with warmth and happiness. It moves me and most people that I know ;)
Movies- El Secreto de Sus Ojos (Argentina), Incendies (French-Canadian), Jagten (Danish), The Broken Circle Breakdown (Belgian), The Shawshank Redemption (USA), The Devil Wears Prada (haha yes I love it) are some of the ones coming to mind right now
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Had the opportunity to live in 4 continents! And in my university one of my pictures was selected for a gallery
