About Me

I'm anna (she/her), 23 years old and currently living in vienna, austria.

Alongside my studies I'm working in a restaurant, which I love doing as you're always around people and a good atmosphere. But, also, working in gastronomy reveals a lot about the wicked and greedy stuff from our society - sexism, rassism, classism and homophobia. Speaking about that, I am clearly against all kind of discrimination and stand up against them.

In my free time, I like to stick and poke my friends, read books from great female authors, write articels (have a look at DIEVERPEILTE), discover the city, visiting good music/art events and party all night/day/life long.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Traveling shouldn't be an elitist activity, but should be open for anybody who wants to get to know new places, people, cultures. So Couchsurfing is a great opportunity to make traveling more accessible for everyone.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love listening to electronic music, ranging from drum and bass to techno and everything inbetween / outside of that.
One of my favorite movies is "Blue is a warm colour". Also, recently I watched "The worst Person in the World" and it just blew my mind.
Bookwise, I'm obsessed with Eva Illouz. She's writing about love in times of capitalism and how we all fuck it up haha. Due to my study, I read a lot of social analytical / theoretical books atm.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

After I finished school I lived in the Netherlands for a year and worked there as an animal keeper for exotic animals, especially primates. During this year my view about how we as humans interact with other living beings changed completly. That was also the year I turned vegan.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you want, we can talk hours about the topics I already mentioned above.

What I Can Share with Hosts
