About Me

I'm a collector of mathematical/mechanical ornaments, clocks, books, bookmarks and rare items. At each locality I visit, I buy a bookmark, which is a practically useful and cheap souvenir to get.

I'm a vintage clothing maniac. I wish to open a thrift shop locally. I'm also a hoarder and recycle items from time to time.

My academic interests are mostly in physics (galaxy clusters, time emergence, arrow of time) and medicine (psychiatry, endocrinology). I occasionally write poems and discuss politics/philosophy in my spare time.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Friends. Culture. Food. Experience. Disco. Drugs. Vintage. Love. Art. Emotion.

Music, Movies, and Books

My musical taste is varied; I love folk rock, soft rock, synthpop and italodisco mostly. Sometimes I listen to gregorian chant or meditation music too. The list of my favourite bands/singers is countably infinite.

Mostly I love 80s and 90s films. They have the best pictures as opposed to the glare and special light effects that the recent films have. Some of my favourite films listed, not necessarily in order of how I like them:

Total Eclipse. Persepolis. Wilde. Dead Poets' Society. Mindwalk. Kes. Peter's friends. La Planete Sauvage. A Swedish Love story. The Illusionist. Truly, Madly, Deeply. Wittgenstein. The Beautiful Person. Night on Earth. Einstein and Eddington. A Single Man. The King's Speech. Iron Lady. Trainspotting. Blue is the Warmest Colour. Contact. Good Will Hunting. Space is the Place. Barfly. Memoirs of a Geisha. Modigliani. Naked. Kill your darlings. Burnt. Love in Thoughts. Hannah Arendt. Gambit. Girl with a Pearl Earring. Agora. Silence of the Lambs. Harold and Maude

I love reading. I have a beautiful collection of philosophy and mathematics books at home :) Unfortunately as I get older, I have less and less time to read. The book which impressed me most was one I read when I turned 14 called 'Our Stolen Future'. It was composed of a methodical research in endocrinology encompassing creatures around the world, including human fetuses, narrated in the style of 'Silent Spring' by Rachel Carson. In fact, many consider it to be its sequel in ways.

Here's a brief list of some of my favorite books, ever:
The Time Machine. Sophie's world. The Tulip Touch. Ethics. Samuraj. Is-Sriep Reġgħu Saru Velenużi. Tommy's Tale. What is life?
