Overview
About Me
I grew up in Phoenix and began my solo travels in 2016. With a full scholarship to play NCAA division 1 soccer, my focus was solely on developing as an athlete in hopes to go as far as possible. I identified myself in this sport for as long as I could remember. However I suffered a severe injury, fracturing my femur, and it became the most difficult obstacle both physically and mentally to overcome. Ultimately, this setback gave me time to branch out and pursue other passions, such as biking, trekking, solo-backpacking, etc...
Now I'm completely healed and capable of playing competitively again. During travels, I usually play for fun though. Soccer-tennis on the beach will always be a favorite pastime of mine. I enjoy most sports, and since moving to Australia I’ve fallen in love with the sea. I swim every day :) In general, I'm an optimistic and positive person, who enjoys being surrounded by nature, good energy and company. Originally wanted to pursue medicine but at the moment I'm most interested in research. More specifically, I'm trying to gain more work experience in oceanography or any other biological research that involves being in nature really...currently looking into opportunities to work along the reef or rainforest in Australia.
After spending another year or two in Australia/New Zealand, I want to spend at least 6 months backpacking/cycling through South America! I also want to buy a van and convert it into a living/working space within the next couple of years. If you have any tips/experience, I'd love to hear it.
Overall, couchsurfing has inspired me to be a more generous, open-minded person, and I am always gaining new perspectives and interests that I hope to share with others along the way.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To share genuine experiences with others. To learn and try new things. To make friends around the world. I will definitely host once I decide to stay in one place for a while (when I pursue my masters/doctorate degree in the next 1-2 years).

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm fond of several genres.
Music: Most recently have been listening to Methyl Ethel, Milky Chance, Khalid, Bob Marley, The Beatles, Lana del Rey, Led Zeppelin, Queen, Polo and Pan, Sticky Fingers, L'Imperatrice, ODESZA, Arctic Monkeys, Post Malone, Ocean Alley, Tame Impala, Ozuna, etc..Spanish, French, and German songs as well.
Movies: Haven’t seen any films recently, but I’m a baby when it comes to anything remotely scary haha. Though I do enjoy a good thriller. Comedies, action/adventure, and documentaries are probably my go-to.
Books: Historical fiction, non-fiction, biographies, textbooks, etc.. Just finished reading Repulsion (biography about Roman Polanski). Trying to get more into fictional books - need recommendations (for any genre really!)
