Hello! I'm a girl from a small town in rural USA who always dreamed of moving to a big city and exploring the world. I was the one reading Nat Geo Kids and Ranger Rick in her spare time, and creating fantasy lands in the woods behind my house.

Three years ago, I took the leap and studied abroad in Florence, Italy. I studied photography, met wonderful people, traveled alone for the first time, and ate my weight in gelato. It was pretty much over then; I was in love with travel! I felt like I was a completely different person and could handle all the randomness that the world could throw at me.

I had to come home to finish my degree, but I didn't stop exploring. After graduation, I spent some time working as a photographer at Walt Disney World. The best part of the job was meeting people from all over the world and talking to them about their experiences. Now it is time for me to embark on some new adventures and I can't wait to see what is next!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to meet new people and get to know them. Hostels are great, but I love to experience a taste of real life in the countries I'm visiting and not just float around in the tourist section. Locals know the best restaurants (I'm a huge foodie!) and are always so willing to help.

I am new to Couchsurfing and a bit nervous about the idea, but I know that I can be a good guest!
