About Me

I'm just starting out on couchsurfing! I'm excited to make new friends and possibly find some adventure buddies...

I love making friends, having adventures, traveling, and taking risks. My dream is to travel the world and to save sea turtles. The best thing about traveling is that I get to form friendships and learn new things wherever I am. When I go places, I'm not about the "touristy" scene. I want the real experience. I want to see things that aren't in the guidebook, learn a bit of the language, and eat where the locals eat. I also really love biology and I'm passionate about environmental conservation work so I always stop to look at all the plants and animals wherever I am, and read up about them later on.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To make new friends and learn about the places I'm staying!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Coldplay, Muse, Brother Moses, Shura, Tegan and Sara, M83
Movies: Interstellar, the Bourne trilogy, Star Wars
Books: I love a lot of books, but my absolute favorite has to be Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I volunteered at a rural hacienda on the Galapagos Islands to help restore the natural habitat of the Galapagos giant tortoises. Basically this amounted to chopping down guava trees (invasive species) and planting native grass. A lot less glamorous than it sounds at first :P But I also got some time to tour the islands. It was like stepping into a dream.

Teach, Learn, Share
