I currently work and live in Los Angeles, CA. I am a surgical technologist at a local hospital. I am also a full time student working on my nursing degree. My interests are varied and vast. I love extreme outdoor adventures as much I love to stroll through quiet art museums. I am a big music fan and go to a lot of concerts and would love to be introduced to new music. I tend to avoid tourist type activities and seek out a more authentic experience.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As a child, I grew up dreaming about being a National Geographic explorer. While that dream didn't materialize, it is my life's goal to see and experience as much of the world as I can in the short time I am here on this earth. I hope to gain a deeper appreciation for the people and culture within the areas I visit. While many people dislike new and different things, I embrace it. I believe that to truly learn and grow from an experience one needs to be open to stepping outside one's comfort zone.
I don't have many friends who share my excitement for the extensive adventure travel I enjoy so I have decided that, if necessary, I will travel alone and make new friends along the way.

Music, Movies, and Books

My music preferences are vast varied and ever changing. I grew up listening to punk and heavy metal but I have expanded so much more since then. I listen to everything from classical and jazz to gangster rap and old timey country!
I tend to read books that will teach me something about the world or history. I want to walk away smarter and more informed than before.
I don't have the attention span to appreciate most movies. The movies I watch must be intense to keep my attention; intensely funny, intensely sad, intensely beautiful.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 26 I sold everything I couldn't fit in my car and took a job traveling across the country to work at various different hospitals throughout the U.S. I essentially spent 3 years living out of a suitcase, traveling around the country.
