Hi I'm Anna,

I'm 31 from the UK, I have lived on Vancouver Island for the past 2 years and recently became a Mum!

My partner John and I and our baby will be doing a little trip to California before my visa is up and we head to the UK to live, John and Jasper are both dual citizens but my visa is up so we're heading back home (for me) to be closer to my family with the little guy. As a Nomad and traveller I'm desperate to get a little travel in first - I need some culture and excitement!!

We are easy going and laid back and love to have chats. We are clean and respectful and are down to hang out for an evening or equally happy to do our own thing.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I love to travel and tend to go on an adventure every few years. I'm fairly new however to Couchsurfing as normally I have stayed at homestays or hostels. I had a wonderful first experience in Montreal.

I first went travelling at 18 to India to visit a charity that some family friends ran. It was a tough trip as we visited places that not many tourists venture and was the year after the Tsunami. However a highlight was sitting in a Sari on Christmas Day surrounded by Orphans eating Turkey Biriyani off a banana leave with my hands!

Since then I have travelled to Kenya, volunteered in South Africa and Vietnam and lived in both of those places for about 4/5 months.

I've been to Australia, Cambodia, Thailand and a fair amount of Europe. I love experiencing new cultures.

I'll love meeting locals instead of being in an anonymous hotel or in a hostel with hundreds of other people who don't know the city either. I have always found that I see places best that way -which is why Couch surfing appeals. John has not experienced travel like this so I want to show him it exists and how great it is!

I would be so grateful to stay with any host and am looking forward to meeting you.

I'm a photography graduate with a keen interest in the arts. I also love discovering new foods and am a fairly good cook!

Hot Wings and Gin are my weapons of choice.

Love the arts, and anything creative.

I love the outdoors, going to Markets, soaking up a place.

John is a cars and video games man through and through, Beer and Burritos are his go to!

Jasper is a big fan of milk.

I love all sorts of music but especially folk.

Fleet Foxes, First Aid Kit, The Pierces, Hozier, Nick Mulvey are favourites. But I also am a fan of some classical, Einaudi for instance.

You can also catch me listening to Beyonce, Alt J and Disclosure however...
So definitely ecletic in my taste!

Favourite movie, Breakfast at Tiffany's but also Shawshank Redemption gets me every time.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I just sat for ages trying to think then remembered I cycled 420km from Cambodia to Vietnam in November for the charity I worked for with a group of 25 people that I organised! I am not a cyclist so it was pretty tough but I was pretty proud. We ended up arriving with all the children waving us in! Amazing

Photography is my degree so I am really happy to show you the basics of a camera and tricks to help you take better pictures, I'm pretty rusty myself though I am trying to get back into it.

I want to learn everything! I have terrible staying power though, I'm trying to learn Spanish at the moment.
