About Me

Im a easy going, free spirited person, who loves to laugh and to meet new people and experience new cultures. I'm currently travelling on my own in Central America and maybe South America. In the UK I live in the south west in Bristol which is a great multicultural city with lots of music and art which are 2 of many things I enjoy. I work as an Occupational Therapist in the community treating patients with physical disabilities and giving them physical rehabilitation which I find very both rewarding and challenging.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Im currently away on a long trip and a lovely American girl I met recommended it. As im away for such a long time it helps to keep accommodation costs down but equally as im a solo traveller its a great way to meet people and hopefully make new friends! I always think its much better to be shown around or given advice by a local as they know all the best places to go, instead of always relying on the lonely planet which takes you to all the touristy places.

Music, Movies, and Books

I just ready an amazing book called "Brain on fire: my month of maddness" by Susannah Cahalan- with is about a women who started to basically loose her mind due to a rare medical condition. I like autobiographys. Equally though I like things which are light hearted too, currently reading " The shit my dad says" by Justin Halpern which is hilarious and sort of an autobiography too!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I trekked up to Everest base camp with a friend of mine who shares the same birthday as me. We decided to do it on our 30th birthdays....without a guide or a porter so carrying everything we needed. One of the most challenging but rewarding things I've ever done!

Teach, Learn, Share

Not sure exactly what this means..... Teach: Im currently learning Spanish so would be happy to do a language exchange? Im also good at billiards/pool so I could teach people that!

Learn: I want to learn another language fluently...Spanish is difficult im learning! Plus as I said before about other cultures. Share: I would love to meet people that share similar interests to me but equally who can teach me new things and experiences!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Sharing old and hopefully new experiences together!

I can share my traveling experiences and advice if you are interested in ever visiting any of the places Ive been on my travels.

When I return to Bristol there's a couch...well sofa bed with your name on it if you ever need it!
