About Me

I am from a small town called Kingman, Arizona. I go to the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona where I study Theatre Arts and English. I work as a lifeguard and have for the past several years. It often drives me insane but it is actually a pretty good gig,

I am a laid back person and I get along easily with most people, even if I find them unsavory. I am active, but I also like sitting around and doing nothing every now and then.

I believe boredom is a manifestation of one's inability to deal with their own presence.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I used couchsurfing when I was on my year abroad and I had some wonderful experiences. I want to stay active with it while I'm back home and hope to use it again when I travel in the future. I like to meet up with people and occasionally stay and host if I get the opportunity!

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Coen Bros movies, Quentin Tarantino, Mean Girls (obviously), It's A Wonderful Life. I'll talk your ear off about Stanley Kubrick if you let me.
Music: The Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, The Beatles, Wycliffe Gordon, The Black Keys, Streetlight Manifesto, Led Zeppelin, Bob Dylan, Arctic Monkeys.
Books: 1984, Grapes of Wrath, East of Eden, Catcher in the Rye, A Room of One's Own, Lolita.
Playwrights: Shakespeare, Samuel Beckett, Tom Stoppard.
This list is by no means comprehensive.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I studied abroad in Norwich, England at the University of East Anglia. I can talk about forever, but most people get bored within 30 seconds.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you to make tacos and how to drive a manual transmission.
I want to learn to speak French more fluently.
I can share my favorite music, books, and food.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to cook for people and share a bottle of wine (or something). I am happy to help with English if my host needs help writing or speaking. I am happy to share anything I can but I find the best things are food, wine, and conversation.

Countries I’ve Visited

England, France, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Scotland, United States
