About Me

Growing up in Auckland, I'm of Russian descent with parents who moved from Vladivostok, a city opposite of Japan, in 1996.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Travelling has long been a desire of mine, with a loose plan of pursuit made throughout high school. A real plan has only come into fruition in the past few months, and I plan on travelling with my partner throughout Europe. Couchsurfing seems to offer an approach entirely different from standard tourism, providing a genuine opportunity to meet kind, welcoming and interesting people by being welcomed into their homes. I'm eager to meet such people, hear their stories and take on their advice as to what to explore in the city, which would likely be different from anything found in a tour guides booklet. Meeting their friends, going to the cafes, music clubs and galleries they rate, all to get a personalised perspective of the place where we are staying.
