About Me
Howdy everyone!
I am a Russian student from Novosibirsk (Siberia), and currently I'm studying at Ohio Northern University (OH). In 2019 I won a scholarship which provides me with this amazing opportunity to study overseas, to meet wonderful diverse people and challenge myself everyday :)
My major is sociology, and I am mostly interested in personal interactions and people behavior.
Speaking of my hobbies, I am a professional Flamenco dancer. Flamenco is a Spanish dance, which allows me to express myself, and show my emotions and passion. I have also worked as a dance teacher for kids and adults, which undoubtedly gave me a valuable experience and positive emotions.
Apart from dancing I am really into music, and back at home I'm a drummer in a local grunge/rock band. Guys, one thing is for sure - there is no way I can imagine my life without listening to music, playing it or singing :)
Exploring new places, cities, countries, meeting new people - this is the most important goal for me during this exchange year. I would really appreciate you hosting me and I am more than willing to hear your unique life story and to share my own with you! :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing is an exciting way to plunge into a new culture, to look at the real life not from a hotel window, but from meeting with people, sharing positive emotions, having fun together and even finding good friends all over the world! When you are alone in a new city, having someone to give you advice is certainly a benefit every one would like to have :)

- My Chemical Romance
- Arctic Monkeys
- Panic! At The Disco
- Imagine Dragons
- Disturbed
- Muse
I am a big Doctor Who fan. As for other series Sherlock and Merlin are also my favorites.
In general I find drama movies the most interesting because they convey deeper meaning and genuine emotions.
- Placebo
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The greatest thing for me which happened this year is definitely being a winner of a scholarship to study for one year at U.S. university.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Basically, everything I've had during my life experience thus far I am ready to share with those who are open to new opportunities, who want to broaden their own outlook and knowledge about the world, and who simply want to have fun with new people!
Spending even a little bit of time together with a foreign traveler you can learn. Our stories and interests shape us the way we are and it's an amazing thing to see how diverse and rich each culture is.
And by the way, if you want to try any traditional Russian dish, I'll definitely coot it for you or with you :)
