Hey everyone! My name is Anna. I'm from Ukraine.
I am 23 years old. I studied at Lviv National University of Ivan Franko. My major was German and English languages. I love foreign languages, but specifically using them in real life and speaking with others, it opens an opportunity to discover new cultures and nationalities.
I got a chance to become an exchange student to the United States, live in American host-family and study at the high school in Washington state through an exchange program called "FLEX" so I spent one academic year in the USA (2016-17).
Now, I am working as an online over the phone interpreter and online translator to help Ukrainians who moved to English speaking countries.
I haven’t travelled abroad in the timeframe October 2019 to June 2021 and now, especially this year 2023 I came back to traveling as before and I can’t wait to meet new people and see new places!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I really love to travel, discover new places around the world and especially meet new people! I love making unforgettable memories and sharing it with people. It's nice to look back and remember good times afterwards.
I would like to discover new cultures and make new friends. I think that's a great way to learn more about different countries and share your own culture.

Interests

I am passionate traveling, learning foreign languages, meeting new people. I love spending time with my family, reading, journaling, writing stories in my diary and writing poems, playing board games (especially I love such gams as Settlers of Catan; and Ticket to ride Europe!), listening to different kinds of music, going out with friends and just enjoying simple moments being in the nature, enjoying sunsets !!
I have also been passionate lately about reading books. Since childhood I love painting, and drawing. I play chess rarely but I like that game, too!

I love listening to music especially when traveling by bus, train, plane, basically any mode of transportation !!
I love reading! I am a Harry Potter fan :D ! I got myself illustrated editions and I totally love those! Besides, I like both Ukrainian authors as well as foreign ones.
