Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Staying at a hotel or an Airbnb? Too expensive, too impersonal. While travelling solo, it quickly gets lonely, so I’d rather spend time in places with some kind of a community.
That leads me to staying at a hostel. As fun as it can get because of all the parties and people around me, they sometimes make me feel overwhelmed, especially after I’ve been travelling for a while. At that point, you just want to spend time with somebody who’d just show you the best time ever, take you to all the local spots and be the greatest company you could ever ask for. And what can be better than after an amazing day with this somebody you can crush on their couch to start with another wonderful day in the morning? That’s where Couchsurfing comes into the picture, a great opportunity to meet open-minded people who not only let you into their appartment but also make you feel at home in a place you’ve never been to before, where you don’t know anybody.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to all kinds of music from classical to hiphop, from 80s disco to Russian rap to reggae. I love watching Netflix in general but if you asked my opinion, I’d choose a good action movie or a thriller. Once in a while a good chick flick is worth a watch, too, I guess.

Definitely, my positive and easy-going attitude, the fun Latvian party games and bits of our culture and generally a good time together! :)
