Overview
About Me
I am currently a full-time student majoring in Biological Sciences at the University of California, Santa Barbara, which is an absolutely amazing school located directly on the beach. As much as I love being surrounded by friends and taking classes at an oceanfront campus, I still take every break and opportunity I get to go abroad and expose myself to everything the varying cultures of the world have to offer. I am incredibly easy going and will participate in virtually any outdoor activity!! I must say, however, my most significant love is the ocean. I am a creature of the sea and will shrivel to nothingness if denied access to the waters of our oceans. Some of my most prized talents include speaking whale (I am unquestionably better than Dory) and spouting water to resemble that from a blowhole.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I hope to travel the world, meet new people, and eat lots and lots of great food!! I see couchsurfing as a great way to do exactly those things; exploring a new area with someone that resides there brings forth experiences that are less tourist-like and much more authentic.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have partaken in two separate study abroad programs, both in Australia. The first of which was at University of Sydney, thus allowing me to live in Bondi Beach for the duration of 5 months. Although the second was centered at University of Queensland in Brisbane, it greatly promoted the notion of first-hand learning in the field, and therefore took us on a variety of terrestrial ecology and marine biology "field trips."
